Donations
This is a fast, simple way to help adults who have developmental disabilities have the financial means to go on community outings.
Thank you!
RVI is a non-profit organization that serves adults who have developmental disabilities. As a registered 501(c)3 organization, all donations are tax-deductible. In the case of cash donations, the donor will received a signed and dated letter detailing the amount and, if applicable, the purpose of the donation. In the case of in-kind donations, the donor will receive, if requested, a signed and dated letter detailing the items that were donated. In some cases, photos of the donated items will be provided with the letter.
Direct donations can be made to a specific program or need, such as the Imagine Art Studio or community outings.
Many of the people served can use clothing to keep on-hand in the workshop. Larger-sized clothing, especially items that have elastic waistbands and easy-to-fasten closures, are useful. Before donation, please email Production Team Supervisor, Shawn Conard or call 419-898-5250, ext. 3064.
The Imagine Art Studio often needs donations of paint, picture frames, wooden furniture, fabric, scrap wood, and other items. Before donation, please email the art studio or call 419-898-5250, ext. 3070. In some cases, a staff member can pick up the items at the donor’s home.
Every September, the RVI Client Council holds a rummage sale. We begin accepting donations in August. To arrange the pick-up of a donation, email Production Team Supervisor, Shawn Conard or call 419-898-5250, ext. 3064.
If you would like to enjoy some food and drink with your philanthropy, go to Rob’s Place/Limestone Tavern on Wednesday nights! The bar, located at 2440 Rocky Ridge Road, Oak Harbor, holds a “Key in the Box” drawing at 6:30 p.m. each Wednesday.
Each chance to draw a key is $1, and the winner must be present at the time of the drawing. When the lucky winner chooses the key that opens the box, three-quarters of the “pot” goes to him or her.
The other quarter of the pot goes to RVI! We truly appreciate the generosity of the owner and staff!
